day 2242 – toppled over

i felt exactly like the cupcake today – toppled over and dysfunctional. i was hoping to go to open gym tonight because i had the day off tomorrow, but i was in no shape or form to do so. during parts of the day, i took some tylenol to alleviate whatever was making me feel sick and pukey. even took a lengthy nap expecting to wake up with some improvement. it’s definitely a write off kind of day

day 2166 – eating discipline

second week into the thirteen week self challenge and i’m doing a much better job than the first week. i turned down the cupcake because i knew i would have serious regrets if i had consumed that. it’s hard road ahead and lots of things to be enticed by, but i’m no stranger to this type of challenge. i must stay on track and stay disciplined for what i really want; not for some short-lived satisfaction

day 1688 Рcupcake surprise 

cupcake and bubble tea for a surprise pre-birthday celebration. a simple way to show appreciation for a long time teammate, and a friend above all. this team has stuck together for so many years, even i forget how many seasons we have been throwing and dodging together. there’s something special about this team that’s not letting me walk away from vdl entirely. in any case, this could be a reunion tour for some of us so cherish it while we can

day 1660 – vday gift

sitting beside my monitor this morning is a valentines beanie from my big boss. turned around and saw two beanies sitting side by side with a cupcake. i’ve developed a good circle that taught me much about importance of self care. thus i’m continuing to keep up with my eating habits and my mindset open. many things working in my favour; though i’ve been really swamped, work has treated me pretty well lately. one thing that always lags behind is my ability to rest 

day 894 – munching at gym

surely munching away on a chocolate chip cupcake is totally normal at the gym. it wasn’t the typical kind of cupcake off the shelf but a delicious yet nutritious version made with veggies that was devoured in a heartbeat. i am so glad there weren’t seconds available or that might cause some trouble. i’ll just convince myself maybe i worked hard enough and¬†exerted much energy during the workout, and if not, there’s always dodgeball that follows
