day 2211 – uc crew reunion

underconstruction crew reunion was long overdue. though i last visited hong kong in november and saw one, it’s not the same as having the complete four all together. the visiting uc craved tacos, so that’s where we took our dear friend. we met up at la taqueria for some happy hour nachos and tacos. it’s great to see these faces again and catch up with each other’s lives. not much has changed, but so much has changed. we’re already planning our next gathering and changing our upcoming secret santa rules

day 1923 – summer roll

haven’t had vietnamese food in a long time, but here i am with the flight club gang just to chill. i was pretty hungry after staying late to get more practice in. instead of some pho, i ordered one shrimp salad roll just to satisfy my hunger. i don’t think i’m really missing out if i don’t have vietnamese food, but i guess once in a while wouldn’t be too detrimental. it’s a good thing there’s ten percent off mondays

day 880 – underconstruction crew

a lunch date and christmas exchange with the underconstruction crew. i haven’t received my present from my secret santa yet, but i’ll take into consideration it must travel across seven seas. it’s amazing the friendship of this crew reached twelve years and counting. this girl and i shared incredibly crazy memories in our years at hamber. we had classes together, shared lockers, spent mornings, lunchtimes, afterschools, practices, post practices and weekends together. upon doing the math, it equates to over ninety hours on a weekly basis. we’d devote lots of those hours harassing and beating each other up to our heart’s content. even though we don’t see each other as often nowadays, she remains one of my dearest friend

day 466 – post sunday work

a nonstop sunday full of work, someone needed post blackbelt test drinks to finish off the weekend. with a couple of the crew chilling and doing some logistics planning because this is the only down time i get so must use it wisely. liking the temporary freedom while parents not in town; gives me the space and freedom to be out more often than not but now i need to prepare my own meals

those were the days…

where we started, where we end up, what we were and what we have become…i really miss those times of motivated and unmotivated practices, hardcore and laid back trainings, soreness, hardwork and endless team bonding. practically living at wu’s and spending just about everyday of december and better part of january with the crew might be one of the most fulfilling christmas holidays i have had. first experience at nationals was a good eye opener, don’t know if i will have another opportunity at this stage
