day 2185 – hydrocortisone

the mosquito bite from yesterday got so out of hand that i couldn’t concentrate on anything. nurse friend said i may have cellulitis and should see a doctor at emergency, but instead i rushed to walmart and settled for some topical cream with hydrocortisone. i even pulled out of hockey last minute because it was burning hot. i felt horrible for staying in on such short notice especially when it’s the start of playoffs for civil war

day 1959 – swiss roll

it’s a bad idea when you hang out with food friends and all they want is try new dessert places. they also want to split the foods with you and inadvertently split the calories that comes with. this is a piece of the oolong tea swiss roll with a load of ganache in the centre. it was very tasty as expected. i wonder how my mildly lactose body will respond after devouring that

day 591 – my friend ben

image

happy saturday pi day because it’s only once we get 3.14.15. you have no idea how hard it is to find a store that carries this nowadays, so it makes these minty tubes ever so precious. found these sitting on the shelf and had to stock up on my friend ben after using the last of it the previous weekend. my training will go into full force very soon so i sure need these available and within my arms length at all times

day 499 – eye drops

image

my eye is feeling irritated so probably a it was better idea to give my eyes a day off contacts today. must have rubbed my eyes by accident in bed after applying cream on my ginormous bruise. i hope it will get a lot better overnight with some eye drops and actual sleep or else i will be in trouble tomorrow because i refuse to dodge with glasses and can’t dodge blind either

day 44 – my friend

image

think i had overdone it yesterday doing something odd or not realizing what i had done that made it more sore than it needs to be. in search of my good friend ben to solve all my problems and allow my body to continue to work. where’s my magical ben when i need him very so badly

day 24 – pastries treat

image

a student’s parent generously bought a box of baked pastries for us instructors to share during class time. left untouched until the end of class when we had a difficult time splitting the buns amongst ourselves. these calories and sugar filled baked goods will sit in my kitchen for a while
