day 1960 – gaining or losing

trying something new and falling on my face is quite normal. i can’t lie about the disappointment i’ve been facing with my struggles as of late. i feel like i’ve lost the back tuck and aerial, both of which i’ve spent so long working on. the only thing i still have is my front tuck. i feel ashamed that i’m going through this struggle with my flips and tricks and very few people will understand. sports has always come rather easy all my life and my coordination has never been an issue, but for this i always second guess myself and kind of want to give up

day 1401 – feeding off

after a stressful mental battle with stacy garcia deadline for eight hours, my mind was drained. a quick visit to chiro with steady recovery for my back and ribs, but bad news for my hip. it was humbling when a power lifter i frequently see and viewed from afar came to introduce herself. i look on as she’s feeding off his encouragements as she goes. what i didn’t know was as i’m impressed with the amount of weight she pushed, she is equally impressed with my coordination and balance as i did my olympic lifts and pistols

day 1104 – catching on

image
monday workout consisted of a lot of barbell and practicing my technique. continuing to put work in; snatching with better coordination and form today, but must remain patient with these lifts and make sure i break all the bad habits. i am a big believer in staying reserved because good technique goes a long way. finished off the night with a softball game. i can’t tell if things hurt, are tired or sore, but it’s not a bad way to start off the week

day 921 – tyro

image

no matter at what stage in life in any practice, everyone is still learning or working to master something. learning from a guy who’s really nice in offering to teach me new moves. i had tons of fun trying to learn these new skills and hopefully i wasn’t too disappointing. i thought my coordination was pretty good, but after tonight, i know even more heightened hand eye and full body coordination will make it come easier. it’s not going to come overnight, but i do believe it’s coming

day 831 – mid season bonder

image

mid season social featured rowing and sculling practice at the richmond olympic oval. the lesson of the day is rowing is not hard, rowing is very hard. thankfully we were only doing rowing simulation in the rowing tank or else we would have flipped the boat on our second stroke. this is a great choice of activity for team building exercise because it requires so much teamwork and communication. a very fun exec bonder where i exerted a lot of energy

day 301 – cirque du soleil totem night

image

watching cirque du soleil and eating at bullock butcher to end of the day. this would be my third cirque show and they always provide some amazing entertainment and exhilarating experience. these acrobats have insane skills, coordination and flexibility to do things most people never even imagine. wish i could pick up some of those skills, for instance some flips would be awesome
