day 1864 – team platters

typical platter choice of the team after a squirtle squad game. there are quite a few alcoholics on the team so pitchers of beer are also staples, along with nachos. it is the official start of delta coed fall season and a win registered for the squirtle is a strong start to the season. we already have more wins than we did for all of delta spring season. i’m sticking to playing the ‘d’ for this team to learn more. of course there’s plays i wish i to redo, but i think i held up in the back end for the most part

day 1762 – potted one

the scheduling is not spaced evenly so playing second jabba game in three days. i wasn’t sure how i’d play tonight since my limbs were feeling shaky as i was driving to the rink. to my surprise, i netted my first goal going upstairs from a nice feed. it was a physical game for me and i got belted a handful of times, though i got up and stayed in the play. i also got my share in the first period as i collided with someone and i was the one left standing. my game is coming along but i still need to learn to be more ready to accept passes at any point

day 1473 – game development

a steady development in my game lately as a result of playing with the higher tiers, receiving pointers, and just getting more ice time. a good day of hockey for me that started off well in britannia, but drop in is where it clicked; even with my aching body and tired legs, i felt strong on my skates. i thought i played a solid game gaining more confidence on the ice whether carrying the puck, driving to the net and playing good positioning. it’s nice when the opposing players compliment on your game, especially the goalie on my shot. it makes me smile a little he said i have a dangerous shot cause both speed and accuracy is there. i hate it when opposing guys take my lightly just because i’m a girl, but the fact they check me harder is a sign of gaining respect
