hardly ever spend time on my skin care, but figured my lazy sunday is the perfect time to do it. the secret of staying twenty four is not doing anything for it and then treating it with the once in a blue moon face mask. i also got around to washing my car and washing my hockey gear, both of which was in dire need of cleaning. it’s cloudy and drizzly, hope it air dries in time before my next game
my first real long run in three years and quite possibly my first ever run in the rain. nailed the sunrun distance like i set out to do and pleased with the result. my legs were spent from the ten kilometre run, followed by five hour taekwondo shift and then some hockey. i could barely move halfway through the day and expect it to get worse tomorrow. i guess i didn’t exactly think it through before committing to all in one day, but that’s kind of how i roll. in the meantime, there’s lot of rolling to be done
the work hours crept by so slowly but at least i was trying to work. at times i still felt dizzy with headache and wished that it wasn’t only wednesday. multiple body parts are wrecked and needs more rest than i will ever give it. surprisingly able to pry myself away from the gym and even decided against dodgeball. instead i spent the evening doing some overdue tedious calculations, paperwork and catchup
having tennis withdrawal already even though it hasn’t been that long since i last played. the cold, rainy and cloudy weather as of late makes me feel even more gloomy inside. i don’t want to make myself believe it will only get worse in the next few months and that outdoor tennis will be put on hold. honestly i love vancouver but i am more suited for longer summer seasons where my tan doesn’t fade as easily
sneaking in a stroll in between the rain and sitting upon the rocks on the lookout at the thick clouds that hover over the mountain. weird couple months of extremities for vancity, first suffering from a drought and depleting reservoir, then floods, fallen trees and power outages from rainstorms and even snow on the mountain. is this the year the vancouver is due for a decent ski season??
when it’s been pouring with temperature drops drastically, every sign signals autumn has arrived. i hate to see summer leave vancouver because the weather is about to get miserable around here. it’s cold outside but as long as it’s not raining i can be outside wandering around. never realized there were railway tracks from downtown looking towards gastown, interesting gems i find through my walking adventures
at confederation park sneaking some water from the kids playground with all the right intentions. here to help complete an als ice bucket challenge for one of my nominees who took the time to actually prepare props and script. too bad it was a not so sunny nor warm day to dunk a bucket of ice and water
