woke up early to catch some wimbledon action and federer didn’t disappoint; an amazing two set down comeback gets him a spot in the semifinals. i didn’t feel up to par at training tonight which really brought me down. i can only blame myself because i know i made a bad judgement call prior to and i can’t let that happen again. spectating some flag football action under the white wispy clouds and ending the night with mo eased my mind a tad
sneaking in a stroll in between the rain and sitting upon the rocks on the lookout at the thick clouds that hover over the mountain. weird couple months of extremities for vancity, first suffering from a drought and depleting reservoir, then floods, fallen trees and power outages from rainstorms and even snow on the mountain. is this the year the vancouver is due for a decent ski season??
looked outside the window every hour and each time i felt like i was in a different city other than vancity. there was a mixture of sunshine, drizzle, rain and hail all throughout the day. vancouver just can’t seem to make up its mind on what season it is so it throws us a little bit of everything. but one thing that didn’t change is i am still sick like there’s no tomorrow
these fall days are dreary, the hardest part is waking up in darkness and going home in darkness. vancouver’s fall season isn’t exactly welcoming; the sky is gloomy, the clouds are abundant, the rain falls heavy and temperature drops quickly. with what i can see outside the window, i cannot lie to myself but summer has left us behind and i cannot help but miss summer even more than before
i had the desire to walk outside just because it was nice out. it may be sunny but it’s deceivingly chilly and that’s the typical vancouverites have gotten to know so well. i still want to deny that the season has changed, but there’s no denying when i need to pull out my autumn jacket. i cannot believe how fast time is going, it’s the end of another month and soon christmas will be approaching
the calendar says it’s the first day of summer and the weather definitely proved it right. despite the recent chilly and wet weather we have received, it was nice to see the sun and clouds in the blue sky. too bad i had to spend most of the day indoor. nonetheless the weather is very promising for and i can’t wait til summer comes so i can spend more time outdoors playing what i love
what started off as a rainy and wet morning turned into a fairly sunny evening. a fitting stroll along kitsilano beach was called for after being bloated with lots of malaysian food. i wasn’t able to walk for long, but a short calming walk along beach with summer winds blowing against our faces and witnessing the sunset was still a bonus. vancouver does treat us well with the abundance of surrounding water
