day 1558 – me menu

called everything off and put myself and only myself on today’s menu cause i need time alone to set my priorities straight. absolutely no work related tasks today – no work for the first time in sixteen days. i was going down the wrong path of cramming work in to avoid idle time which in turn has even more negative effect on my mental health. can’t say i’m not a workaholic but then realized i was more burnt out than ever. so first time sleeping in until eight, helped my parents moved furniture, went for a workout and cleaned my room. that is not to say i don’t see the relationship struggles, but we’ll both be working on it together. i do feel better thinking i’ve reset my priorities and reorganized my life for the upcoming week

day 1545 – wisking

after doing plenty of research, i’m going through the do it myself route. handpicked a few recipes that contains ingredients i readily have in my kitchen. i keep putting off picking up protein bars, so might as well roll up my sleeves and wisk some myself. if this turns out well, i might actually have something to eat on friday. it was a pretty simple process, but the washing and cleaning time took as long as making the bars

day 1443 – work is work

it’s good friday so i don’t have to be at the office; why not work some more in my home office on a day that i’m off. at home is the time to relax, but cranking up the productivity cleaning my room, looking at spreadsheets, crunching numbers, finishing my graphics, and even getting most of my taxes done. it’s a good thing i finish these tasks before heading out of town

day 1275 – library maintenance

this is what cleaning house looks like with our library samples. hired temps to get this stuff done once and for all; if it was left up to the design department, we would never get around to it. all old and unwanted carpet sample must go and up for grab before it gets donated. it was first come first serve basis and within fifteen minutes it looked like the aftermath of a war

day 1235 – screen time

killarney taekwondo term was over last weekend, meaning my first real weekend in far too long. spent the day reorganizing my workstation, discarding unwanted material and relocating things to other places so my work area is less cluttered. it also meant throwing out a lot of old junk and dusty paper weights. this is a good reset for a fresh start and be ready for the new challenges i decided to take on. hypothetically, the three monitors should make my productivity go up

day 1194 – power game

image
felt gross internally after a night out at the pub eating poorly, got to clean it up. but that feeling was slightly negated because i got my power game going strong. in the short time i returned from competition, i’m already back in my lifting game and made a pr today. i can’t explain the happiness i felt because ever since i started, i had set a goal for myself and today i made that goal. you know all is good when i can get back snatching and going for more goals

day 917 – cleaning

i hate paperwork, and truly believe i am not meant to for this type of task. these were due for year end, but still have not yet figured out the boss’ ever changing standards. to further delay the task, i did some mild cleaning of my room and trunk today and finally cleared out some bags out of my closet. any kind of distraction is good distraction so i can continue to avoid the neverending paperwork. i guess i still found a way to be productive, but those paperwork will have to wait another day
