day 2416 – student teacher

taekwondo classes continue despite the coronavirus warnings across the city. i’m surprised vancouver parks board hasn’t cancelled the classes while everything else has been put to a halt. with all my teams and leagues cancelled or postponed, i’m praying that neither my lifting gym nor my tricking gym closes too. i’m more worried that i won’t have any of my activities and will die of boredom if quarantine ever takes place

day 1237 – beyond chaotic

img_20200204_1915562254598574977637645.jpgwoke up with power outage and still went ahead and showered in the dark thinking it would come back soon, but ended up without electricity for over four hours. during those hours, i was experiencing excruciating pain that even drugs couldn’t dull. i also heard of all the chaos on the road: skytrain delays, bus stalls, tree problems, and accidents all around; i knew i had no business going to work. i had my share of delays on my way to the doctor’s, this was the mess i was caught in

day 761 – after the storm

apparently there is vancouverites still living without power thirty six hours after the storm hit. i feel sorry for those who have spent the past thirty odd hours in darkness without electricity and most importantly without wifi. i guess yesterday’s storm really hit the city harder than first imagined but life must go on. if anyone wanted tips of eating and passing time during power outages, eating hotpot at home is the way to go

day 760 – road disasters

a rainstorm overnight caused citywide chaos in just about every form. from road blocks due to fallen full grown trees, major intersections turned four way stop due to malfunctioning traffic lights, poor water drainage causing street floods to massive power outages that spread over numerous neighborhoods. as if that wasn’t bad enough, everyone seems to have forgotten how to drive properly like it was an apocalypse. seriously, stay calm and drive on or get off the road so you don’t stop the rest of the population. just because the traffic lights are malfunctioning, doesn’t mean you as a person should malfunction as well
