day 1972 – stick and pucking

winter break and off days are the best time to sleep in and catch up on what i’ve lacked all year round. it’s also a good time to put in some extra practice at the stick and puck sessions i wouldn’t otherwise have been able to make. getting a free pass to christmas eve afternoon stick and puck session to work on some shots, pivots and stick handling sounded like a good choice

last meal of the year is a hotpot at home paired with a canucks win against the oilers. there’s no party for me this year; i just wanted to lay low and let christmas eve be as mellow as possible. i’m so done with all these feasts and drinking fests, this will be the last of the holiday craziness. i’ve been feeling tired the past two days but i’m not sure why i don’t sleep in during my holiday, maybe it’s the workaholic in me

day 876 – eve workout

spending morning of my christmas eve at the gym banging out the reps because scheduled work never stops. it was a workout i needed to get in because it put me at ease and made me feel right. i felt particularly bad i lost track of time yesterday and didn’t make it into the gym like originally intended. a tiring session as usual and i’m exhausted leaving the gym, but it was definitely the energizer that sparks the rest of the day

day 511 – feast on eve

as i could have guessed, the luxurious holiday feasting goes on. day three of three and this time out with family eating a yummy lobster dinner. so much intake, definitely not the gains i want. i made up my mind that there will be some extensive exercising and training waiting for me once i get my knee fixed up in working condition. in the meantime, i might as well enjoy the rest of the holiday season full of food
