day 2339 – burnaby museum

gave up on aurora winter festival for burnaby heritage museum because the admissions didn’t make it appealing. i went in with little expectations considering it’s free admissions. there were a bunch of picture worthy backgrounds. it was drizzly but the weather cooperated for the most part. we took the pictures and left for some bubble tea. i finished off the night with a few late night episodes of prince of tennis

say 2329 – potluck dish

my appetizer dish for the annual hospitality designs christmas potluck is smoked salmon on rice crackers. there’s a whole assortment of food including sushi, fried rice, noodles, fried chicken, samosas, pizza, salad, meatballs, chili and cakes to name a few. i tried to have a variety, but some things just weren’t for me. the food was okay, but the extended lunch break was good to calm down some of the work stress

day 2325 – term end

christmas cards and gifts from my sweet students because it’s on the last day of the term. it’s been a really stressful and hectic term teaching without a vice head instructor. i now have a very fresh and young group of teaching assistants, but it’s good to see them work so hard and improve their skillset. i’d like to take all the credit for honing them into the junior instructors that they are, but they’re all taking the initiative to as learn and grow to become role models

day 2315 – christmas tree top

once last week of november hits, everyone was putting up their christmas trees. i was a little behind but my christmas tree is finally up in my living room piled with decorations and lights. my family typically decorates all over the interior of the house, but the past two years we’ve lessened because taking it down is not as fun. this month’s electric bills will be higher than other months

day 1617 – jaybirds

another shipment from boxing day shopping arrived at my doorstep. as the parcels trickle in, i keep in mind christmas is only three hundred odd days away. lots of expenditures this past christmas on laser, supplies, clothing, sports gear, car essentials, organizations and now headphones. these jaybirds is a hefty buy but it was time to make the upgrade rather than just settle for something mediocre. they’re ready to rock and roll next time i’m working my butt off

day 1613 Рunderconstruction tradition

the tradition of our annual secret santa exchange continues during one of our parties. the friendship we share is something special when we don’t need to see each other frequently, but still have the same affection for each other. after friendly hellos, shots start firing in all cylinders and the love hate relationship is revealed. when i’m with this crew, i’m as immature as i’ve always been like hamber days because some things just don’t change. we’re still missing chu in the picture but the plan is she’ll be physically in it next time

day 1609 – unwrapping

this is the continuation of my christmas gifts unwrapping now that i’ve regained some of my vision. a restful three days makes the recovery go a lot faster. even at only at 20/40, i’m able to see enough to have the enjoyment of uwrapping. i either love unwrapping gifts or just the act of unwrapping. my first and second gifts kind of works hand in hand; i will be well caffeinated come the new year. can’t wait for my next ones to roll in
