day 1759 – homework latte 

this evening is all about homeworking while holding onto my cup of latte. i could be having fun on friday night, but i chose to do some catch up work at forty ninth parallel. there’s never enough time for all the things i must get done and the extra stress is noticeably getting to me this week. two more sleeps of home alone before my family fly back from their europe trip. it sure seems like they’re having a good time, but my mom still checks in to make sure i’m doing okay

day 1592 – gramercy 

i never questioned whether my heart is in the right place cause i know it myself. the holiday card and written notes says it all. this reminds me of why i continue to push through my hectic life to be teaching year after year. the commitment is by no means small, but one that is meaningful to me. i don’t want to give up these kids i’ve trained, some for several months and some seven years. i forget what it’s like to be appreciated for what i do and what i do well. i thought it didn’t bug me, but it actually does and i’m told i should never tolerate or take it from anyone that doesn’t appreciate

day 1550 – sad truth

what a turn of events in the past forty eight hours; the hours i wish never happened. can’t say i’m not thoroughly disappointed, but can’t let one disappointment dictate how i live. no matter how i move forward with life, i’ll make sure what i choose puts me as a priority. sad but true that those i least expect to care for me cares more than those i thought would take care of me. it’s quite clear with the choices made and the actions taken, or not taken. i found out where i stand – nowhere in comparison to the many activities. any day could be my last day; if today was, one thing i’d regret is settling even not having been treated properly

day 929 – resurrect

tomorrow i am going to get some me time to reboot both my mind and my system. i feel i need some time to regroup and make sure i’m back on track doing things i need to be doing and doing things i enjoy doing, for the right reasons. the past week or two has been lousy where i am just going through everything mindlessly like a robot but not thinking twice about what i am seeking out of it. and during this time, there’s either been a lot of emotional eating or unhealthy thoughts and choices made. i really should put things back into it’s proper routine and get back in the right frame of mind to make the best choices for myself moving forward. february is a short month, so better not waste time and get back on track as soon as i possibly can

day 658 – supress cravings

it is so difficult to suppress random food cravings especially so when i am stressed out. and then it’s that moment when i finally manage to suppress my sushi craving, but then end up getting something else even more unhealthy instead. it probably would have been a wiser choice if i went to bed earlier instead of going out to grab some fast food at some ungodly hour
