day 2461 – airfryer chicken

mom during quarantine has more free time to browse the internet to try new things. she researched new recipes and made fried chicken with bread crumbs using the airfryer. it tasted pretty good, but i wasn’t having much of an appetite during dinner time. there were many good dishes on the table, but i only ate one drumstick and one third slice of an thin crust pizza

day 2176 – uneaten lunches

uneaten lunches piling up because this week has been a little busy. my monday lunch is still uneaten in the office fridge because of onboarding lunch, first aid lunch meetings. both lunch boxes had things i wanted to eat so i shared the lunches with coworker and skipped the overlaps. if i start getting a stomachache in the afternoon, i’ll definitely blame the old leftover lunch

day 1261 – meal prep

my parents are back this evening meaning final day of meal prepping. i’m proud of myself because i’m tired as ever but already in at work at 7:30am even after getting off school at 10:30pm yesterday night. also, i have mostly been able to feed myself during the time my parents were away. my self-made lunch boxes are looking better and better each time my parents go on vacation. but one thing i need to do much better on is getting enough sleep

when suppliers offer the entire design team nandos for lunch. it’s my first time eating nandos food and i was excited based on what others have said. after trying it myself, i wasn’t sure why there’s so much hype about their chicken. i guess i eat chicken all the time and my mom makes them really tasty. their food was just average; i find it a bit too heavy, saucy or burnt

day 1179 – dumpling master

it’s all about aesthetics this afternoon as i’m perfecting cooking dumplings and making sure it’s cooked to the perfect shade of golden brown. i may be a picky eater, but require nothing fancy nor expensive, just need basic food that’s done the right way. chicken dumplings paired with banana got me through another saturday shift; keeping it simple just like any ordinary saturday

day 1126 – gobble

49389730_370598130366605_2429455067095498752_nwoke up feeling a tad lightheaded, perhaps the lack of sleep is the cause. after finishing my complexes, i got myself a vanilla latte and fed myself chicken and potatoes for lunch. thinking that spiking my sugar level, eating and upping my blood pressure would help.  also dealt with some bank issue. they finally for it correct after the fourth try; if i have to go into the bank one more time for this purpose, i’d be really angry

day 567 – chinese new year celebration

chinese new year dinner with my family is inevitablly another day of continued heavy food consumption. we were eating away at the table full of food with portions that never seems to get any smaller, but i guess it goes with the chinese tradition of having leftovers. can’t go through chinese new year without having chicken and fish because we asians live by a lot of rules and superstitions
