day 1003 – secret ingredients

never underestimate the significance of a bubble tea and a fractured finger. a simple chocolate milk tea and roasted milk tea were the secret ingredients that kickstarted it all. the hasty stumble filled my dodgeball roster, and also brought us much closer than just teammates. little did we know i was ever so close to turning down the bubble tea run that very night; that could have rewritten the story in its entirety. i am glad i got roped into getting some diabetic drinks; the fractured finger also helped a little. it’s a combination of sugar, luck, chance and fate that did it all

day 789 – a little chatime

image

stopping for some chatime after mid autumn demo just because we are thirsty. feeling a little reminiscent of the times back at toronto nationals 2013 when we discovered chatime for the first time. there’s no shortage of good bubble tea in vancouver, but chatime does stand out from the rest and the lineup backs it up. even though this really doesn’t fit in my macro nor does my cold-like symptom appreciate it, i did it for my cravings. happy mooncake day everyone

day 694 – asian invasion

after taking care of the competition side of things with id pickup and weigh ins, the rest of the day was spent driving around town. montreal’s chinatown was very impressive, it was very clean with many eating options and street vendors that almost reminded me of china. we made our way to chinatown to satisfy our ramen and bubble tea craving. a red eye flight made me so tired, i was dozing off in the car starting mid day. calling it an early night cause it felt like i haven’t slept for two days
