the score wasn’t pretty but the game was very fun compared to last game when we played against a ridiculously dirty and physically dangerous team. it was also the last squirtle regular season game and playoffs begin with a one bye week. stayed after on the bench to take pictures and enjoy our lemon tea. ended up lingering for another hour before we got out of the change room. it’s been a while since i last stuck around with the team, maybe because i feel more comfortable with the people that were present
mostly been a winger for squirtle all season, but getting my time at defense tonight. i much enjoy that our team can be in the same locker room as opposed to separating it be gender. we lost by a margin, but i still had fun. honestly my ankle is struggling when in that skate. the ganglion on the medial side is only getting worse and really bothers me especially in the second half of the game. i’m not sure what i need to do and how to address this issue. what will it take to continue playing this sport?
friday night squirtle squad games are back in session. since i’m just part timing this season, i get to be a forward. my line was in the attacking zone for the most part but we lack some chemistry. we didn’t win today but it’s really good to see the squirtle faces again because we always have a good time in the change room. i even did a back flip inside after the game. i’m starting to not be too selective with my surfaces which i’m assuming is a good sign
squirtle and fishsticks merge to hold an open practice so both teams can get ready for their respective game twos. also a good time to run through defensive drills to since i’m put on defense next friday. for some odd reason, my shin pad and skate tongue was causing a havoc for my left foot. lots of ice this weekend so i’m glad there’s no powerskating during this long weekend
this is the last game for squirtle before the holiday. my legs are really feeling it being the second game in two nights. it doesn’t help that someone fell onto my already bad leg on the very first shift. we have fun on and off the ice – post game fun in the girls change room before the boys joined in. we played some target trust games and i got the bottle challenge on the second try. going to rest up overnight and see if my legs will be apt to go back on ice tomorrow morning
how in the world can someone walk into the gym with a cane but leave without it after a workout. apparently it’s possible because i witnessed it first hand tonight in the change room and here’s a photo to prove it. bizarre things happen every now and then. the world is full of surprises and might throw you a curveball when you least expect it. i guess the surprises keep us on our toes and makes life interesting
