day 2008 – intermitting

mid morning grapes is rewarding during my intermittent fasting phase. i’m usually immune to being hangry, though i can’t control being hungry. i’m doing this is to cut down after the holiday season to improve my sports performance as well as to reach my overarching fitness goals. i want to up my game to help with hockey, taekwondo, flips and tricks and dodgeball. also, part of it is just to change up my diet and get it back on track

day 1854 – treadmill trek

walking through the woods and running through the city while watching federer play the game he knows best. a rare day in the gym without doing squats or any barbell related exercises. i don’t usually do cardio at the gym aside from warmup, but i had to try out their new treadmills with these cool features. i didn’t do any compound movements, but it was enough to know that my shoulder is still nowhere near normal functions. all i wanted to do was insert myself back into some activities

day 1830 – pairing up

changing up the advance class with less instruction and more freedom. the theme of this week’s class is creative poomsae. this is a chance to not only open their mind to creative poomsae, but also build on their friendship and camaraderie. some of it wasn’t glamorous, but they sure pulled out some wacky unheard of moves. based on what i saw today, no one is near ready to compete in creative poomsae, but at the end of the day we all had a good laugh watching each group perform

day 1686 Рskate tongue 

playing for the first time with my skate tongue in and i kind of like how the skate is more snug on me. the order of putting on gear will have to be slightly altered but that’s something to get used to. not feeling great after a barely catching any sleep, but still had to push for a rushed deadline today. took a nap alongside some tylenol and even then just wasn’t quite enough to be in game shape. my reaction and timing was off, but i did play a well defensive game covering for centres and coming back for odd man rushes. tempted to take a little time off work if possible; a little rest would be nice for my current tired soul

day 1564 – warehouse sale

happily shopping for shoes to reward myself for a job well done. went shoe frenzy and tried on many to find the one that i couldn’t go wrong with. in the past i’ve neglected my own well-being and overlooked many of my desires because i was made to not feel important. i learn to grow, i learn to be stronger, and more importantly i learn to live to be treated the way it should be. over the next little while i will change up my priorities to be sure i put myself as one
