day 2159 – biking stint

spent canada day olympic lifting, hanging out and having some fun inside and out. while some needed a power nap, i borrowed a bike and took it for a short spin to visit the office. it was a little risky since i haven’t ridden a bike in vancouver for years and years, and never on the streets sharing the road with cars. after a short stint on the bike, we went to watch men in black movie. it wasn’t the best of movies, but i still enjoyed watching hemsworth. i’m so stoked spiderman is coming out tomorrow, and can’t wait to catch it in theatres

day 1796 – oh canada

a different canada day unlike any previous years where i had to host a taekwondo competition. this is the most laid back canada day i can remember, spent it helping my parents with some cleaning up and recycling old junk. the nagging headaches is really not going away, and making me feel uninterested even in my most favourite things. the long weekend continues with a nice dinner out at kishimoto before checking out a free concert. even though it was rainy and slightly cold, the swanguard stadium festivities and fireworks turned out well

day 1431 – award

brought home another from the annual award presentation. what i get in return for dedicating lots of my energy and sacrificing so much into making sure i maintain a standard for killarney. this branch has steadily grown and i’ve been proudly holding the fort down since 2013. it’s often to hear that i’m one of the strictest, and i would agree. i uphold a standard of my own regardless of what other’s may be, not a daycare or a belt selling school

day 701 – oh canada

canada day was exactly opposite of how a statutory holiday should be like; not only am i at work but i even worked overtime. it was a long and exhausting day with no shortage of frustrations and surprises throughout. so much effort, time, preparation, sweat and anger has been put in order to make this inter school competition possible, not only on the front end but also on the back end behind the scenes. on the bright side, today i got to see all my students put forth their efforts , many of which made great improvements. but man, was i ever tired at the end of the day and not many ounces of energy left in me

day 335 – annual canada day special

so much time of june has been put into preparing and coordinating for this taekwondo competition and annual awards on canada day. the long stressful days of rehab, practices, design work and meetings all contributed to my busy and sleep deprived schedule. after countless hours spent preparing the nitty gritty details, the big day has finally arrived. the venue is setup and ready to go as of last night, but not sure if my legs are. hopeful it will run smoothly with as little surprises as possible
