day 2509 – finger fractures

i still am not sure what is the extent of my injury, but the stubborn me is reluctant to take my finger into the hospital. i could probably go in and take xrays, but would confirmation really do anything for me? i’m almost certain whatever happens, the doctor will still tell me to lay off it for several weeks and monitor as needed. i found my old splint from my first ever finger fracture, it’s ghetto and bulky so i’m only going to wear it overnight

day 2104 – flex day

took a flex day in anticipation that i’d be exhausted from a weekend of activities and i couldn’t be more correct. there was no way i would’ve been able to wake up at 6am for work. i slept in until 11am, and half the day was gone before i knew it. i really should be cleaning up, doing laundry and preparing food, but i mulled around and finished off my drama series. i went to flip and stayed until late despite my leg and ankle being crazily bruised up. good luck waking up for work tomorrow morning

day 2006 – scrim gone wrong

clearly someone taking scrimmage a little too seriously. the aftermath of a collision during powerskating scrimmage because a try-hard hit me not once, but twice. i took no exception to his second offense and decided to go straight for the bodycheck to knock him on his ass. i’m not sure what he’s trying to prove standing up against someone half his size, but its not welcome here. if i could, i would have knocked him over again because once just wasn’t enough to satisfied the rage inside

day 1793 – roller and flosser

the fact my body is badly bruised front and back is enough reason not to partake the after-work bootcamp. the excessive overworked body is sore from hip flexor, to hamstring, to calves, to traps, to shoulders, to lats. hence, i spent much time on the floor releasing myself. i did a pre-game roll on my softball and a post-game roll on foam roller and pvc pipe. since that wasn’t enough, i went one step further and did some flossing

day 1527 – iced knee

bounced off the floor hard when i dropped down too quickly to the floor. my chiro was on site but there was nothing he could have done for me there. there’s no taking it easy and i hate sitting out. ┬áthe damage is already done so i might as well continue playing through it; finished the night and immediately slapped an ice pack on it to stop the swelling. despite bruising up bad, it’s always a fun night playing with the girls. i am a little doubtful to be healthy for saturday night’s rivalry

day 1525 – damaged body

the appointment was so early i woke up close to a dozen times worried that i would miss it. had my butt looked at after being in utter discomfort; seeing much bruising made me worrisome. to fix my misalignment and damages, i had adjustments made for my tailbone and hip flexor. the wrist pain is getting really bad it’s not really a functioning hand at the moment; adds to the insult of my other already tendon damaged hand. physio got angry at me for pushing this appointment two weeks late but work just doesn’t allow for it. i’m kind of sad i’m already so utterly broken right now, a little consideration would be nice

day 1524 – bruised butt

meetings got shifted around so immediately had a long meeting once i got into the office. it was so busy at work; before i knew it, it was already 11am and i have yet to eat my go to breakfast of peanut butter toast. i didn’t do a good job starting the month of october skipping my first meal, but i vouch to do better with eating. the fall in hockey really hit hard as i chose not to sit down at work all day because it gave my buttocks a ton of grief. i went to the gym to do my lower body workout which i probably shouldn’t have, but at least i exercised caution to make sure it didn’t cause it to feel worse. it was a much lighter day than i would have liked

day 1509 – power tool

img_20200203_1545434306867944158135999.jpgtoday was my plyo focus day so here i was deloading but accelerating. it was pretty empty at the hour i went so i made good use of it and took up as much space as i possibly could. the power that i used to rip the olympic bar caused scrapes and bruises on my shin. that was a very satisfying session as i unlocked the fear that bands are over my head. clearly i had nothing to fear and my power game is able to handle it

day 1035 – all knotted

everything on my legs are all knotted up and a bruised and tender knee from taking an ego damaging fall. this is what happens when i don’t exercise for three weeks, then go all out at the gym and go crazy kicking bags without stretching. i guess that’s when proper warm up and cool downs come into play. i had to skip gym today because all i can do is roll them out on the deathly foam roller

day 864 – troublemakers

i liked our playoff bracket and our chances heading in. it wasn’t the results we were hoping for but nothing to hang our heads upon. some of us were battling a cold and some of us were gimped, and given the circumstances i’d say we tried our best. we had two good series, one hard fought series and another i’d like to take back. but even if we made it any further, i felt my elbow was done after the third series even though i had a kinesiologist tape me up. something is noticeably wrong with my hand but i don’t recall what exactly happened. keeping it loose during the pre game team huddle, i am still proud of how troublemakers handled the season finale today
