day 2435 – handstand practice

keeping a steady weekly routine of four workouts, three sprints and three tricking sessions. i’ve really enjoyed training with the crew – they’ve kept me motivated and accountable and i hope i do the same for them. from this, i’ve noticed constant improvements whether it’s my basic kicks, tricking, combos or tumbling. another night training with the private gym squad. i will continue to drill everything i’ve ever wanted and come out of this quarantine with newfound strength and skills

day 2428 – choreographing

everyday since being in quarantine, one of the things i look forward to is going into the gym to train. it’s good that we’re putting some initial choreography thoughts into action. i do, however, worry that my basics isn’t sound, my skill-set is limited, my technique is inconsistent and i’m not enough to match my partner. the last thing i want to do is disappoint my partner and coach. the only thing i can really promise and control is to work hard at solidifying what i need to hold my own

day 2319 – woojin workshop

my killarney kids had a private session taught by woojin and his teammates. he went through a bunch of drills for basic kicks. it was a good to get an idea how koreans train their basics and a good indication of why their basics are so good. my kids could also benefit with more of this training if they want to improve in high performance. honestly i get anxiety because i really wish i could start practicing my spinning kicks again, but i also get anxiety because i’m not sure if my ankle will be ready for all that

stepping foot in tong’s kitchen to prepare for tomorrow’s party. this is not a familiar territory for me since i only cook the primary things to fuel my body, but i might turn out to be an iron chef after this holiday season. the requirement for this recipe is we must create our dish from scratch; darn i can’t have my fruit platter. although i haven’t taste tested until party time, my deviled eggs look really yummy
