day 2012 – flightclub anniversary

even though i couldn’t really do much having banged up both my left and right legs, i still attended the anniversary open gym. i wanted to at least chill with the rest of the flightclub family and be there for their important celebration. i like that this is a place where i’ve met some new friends and learned some new flips and tricks. hoping i’ll hit a few more tricks in their second year

day 1578 – wild wild west

the atmosphere and theme at this pubnight was way better than last week’s. the food was at boston pizza was mediocre at most serving only pizza and fries, neither made me feel good after eating. the photobooth was a hit as it should be. although i was running around most of the night, i had a much better time running into and mingling with many. i got a chance to catch up with some old mates, talking and laughing at some of the old times. it’s great to see so many familiar faces at events like this

day 1326 – queen’s tournament

kings and queens is by far the best tournament i’ve ever been to. the level of play was really high as all eight teams were stacked in both brackets. the atmosphere and competitive level was like tier 1 playoffs, only much more spirited. i had a blast playing at this tournament; i’m really proud of the team’s play. i’m just happy to be on the court even if it took layers of gauze and tape to cushion the underside. it didn’t feel great inside my shoe and the mobility was limited, but i played well while still being cautious

day 707 – spin to delta

image

felt like taking a long drive out to the delta district tonight with one purpose in mind. i drive lots and i go all around the cities, but rarely do i get a chance to or have a reason to go so south past richmond. the atmosphere feels so different here where everything seems so sparse and mild. this is my new cool hangout place in delta, i guess there’s more reason to venture out here than before.
