day 1932 – singaporean food

the buildings are nice but not to forget there’s a lot of famous food in singapore. the one ice cream shop i really wanted to hit up was too far out of the way, but that’s okay because i managed to hit up a decent black sugar pearl bubble tea place. on my fourth and last day in singapore, i also tried some street food cheap eats like their famous satay puffs, satay skewers, durian ice cream, laksa to name a few. i stayed away from fried foods as much as possible but that still gave me plenty variety to try. street food was a lot cheaper than restaurants. i’m conscious about overeating and gaining weight from this trip

day 1931 – hop on hop off

signed up for the big big bus where we have the flexibility to hop on and off the bus whenever we come across any attractions we wanted to see. we hopped on three different routes to go around downtown, chinatown, little india and orchard road. from this bus tour, i saw so many superb architecture and design. these busses saved us a lot of walking and definitely saved my knee from collapsing

day 1930 – marina bay sands

couldn’t go to singapore and not visit the iconic hotel while doing touristy things. i call it the hotel with surfboard on the top. even though i didn’t manage to watch crazy rich asian before this trip, i know this is crucial checkpoint. the hotel was so nice both inside and outside; i was so amazed by the designs and architecture as i was walking through the common areas within the lobby. this is definitely one hotel i want to stay in next time i’m back

day 1929 – bugis market

first full day in singapore and we were greeted by a thunderstorm on our way to the hotel. so far, we’ve seen a variety of weather from thunderstorms, pouring rain, and scorching heat. we touched down on bugis market on our first night, a district famous for its street foods and street vendors. we walked through the crowded blocks where things were decently priced. i went home having bought a few pieces of clothing for work

day 1928 – singapore bound

eighteen hours on an airplane with a one hour rushed transfer in between really upset my knees. i was so exhausted prior to the flight that i completed passed out the bulk of the first flight and didn’t bother with washroom breaks or cup noodle. you could say i’m excited and not excited for this trip. this bi-annual asia trip consist of a stop in singapore before hong kong. i’ll be my nth time visiting hong kong, but first in singapore

day 1927 – underpacked

i would say i’m all packed up and to get on this plane but by the time i reached the departure gates, i already had a strong feeling i had severely under packed with my lackluster effort. i clearly didn’t prioritize packing and had minimal time to do so in my schedule. the good thing is i’m heading to asia so i can still buy things as i go. maybe it’s not a bad idea to have reasons to shop for things
