how a chinese new year feast can throw me off my game. i am feeling sick after eating this meal since my regular practice is not accustomed to the grease. i do not wish to eat another one of these meals for a while, my stomach prefers my meal prepping more than ever. i guess that’s why i’m a picky eater and all i’m saying is i choose my food carefully
the camerawoman dropped me a mail this morning to showcase what was captured at last night’s rdl drop in. some crazy people started pouncing on me the moment i entered the gym as a way to show their love, or the love for my koalas. all i wanted was to be at peace with my koalas, but that wish was not granted. i do spend a fair share of time with the dodgeball community, and this is the kind of bond we have
rather than asking me how i am doing in her absence, the first message mom sent me since leaving town was because she wanted this recipe to be sent to her in a hurry. but in case she’s interested in knowing, i am doing just fine and racing through my hectic schedule, which is nothing new. i guess she’s had enough of eating out everyday and must really want to cook in hong kong
i don’t know what happened overnight but my throat has been uber dry all day. taking some medication before going to bed, but before that, i wanted to eat some homemade ice cream. i could try to make an argument that the ice cream is actually the cure to all throat problems, but i have no scientific evidence to back that up so i decided i wouldn’t even try to defend myself
another annual success walk with the dragon appreciation dinner in the books. typical asian dinners with plates coming every so often, where you will always see food left on the table. and food just keeps coming even though everyone at the table is stuffed. not all the dishes were suitable for me, but perks of being a small eater cause i was pretty much full after the few appetizer dishes. got myself a lucky draw tee that doesn’t fit me, but a win is a win.
after taking care of the competition side of things with id pickup and weigh ins, the rest of the day was spent driving around town. montreal’s chinatown was very impressive, it was very clean with many eating options and street vendors that almost reminded me of china. we made our way to chinatown to satisfy our ramen and bubble tea craving. a red eye flight made me so tired, i was dozing off in the car starting mid day. calling it an early night cause it felt like i haven’t slept for two days
poor big teddy’s arms and legs all tangled up and doesn’t look one bit comfortable. i would rather be sitting where big teddy is, away from the deafening chinese oldies karaoke. it’s another one of those richmond community dinners where we get dragged into listening to endless speeches which doesn’t even apply to us. the most difficult part being we also had to compete with the loud speakers and singing to carry out our meeting, which ended up to be more of a yelling match
