day 2418 – social distance

coronavirus emergency took another step suspending all non essential services until further notice. that means my chiropractor appointment this morning is cancelled. my lifting gyms are still open but that may also change any minute. even i don’t think i’ll risk going to steve nash or apex for the time being. good thing my tricking gym is still in operation or else i’ll have nothing to do. i really hope that doesn’t get too out of hand because i don’t think i can get used to this concept of social distancing

day 2283 – prp treatment

in naturopath clinic to do my first platelet rich plasma treatment. these prp treatments will burn a hole through my wallet, but my foot left me with no other option. it was very neat and very scary at the same time; watching the machine spin and separate my blood into parts and having it put back into me. getting what must have been twenty injections was a painful process. i had both feet done and could barely walk out of the office myself

day 2243 – new ubc

its my first day off for the compressed work schedule. i haven’t been back to ubc in years; the campus seemed so familiar yet unfamiliar. lots changed since my graduation but memories will stay forever. the appointment i waited to get with the sports medicine doctor since march was a disappointment and a total waste of my time. he delivered the worst news i could possibly get by telling there’s nothing he could do if now. he followed that up by saying had he seen me right after the injury, he would have suggested putting it in a boot to help the recovery. i was outraged when i heard that because i had been on the stupid waitlist for six months

day 2199 – sushi satisfaction

had japanese food two days in a row but i don’t mind it one bit. still going strong with the intermittent fast as long as i keep dinner to a reasonable time. had an appointment in the morning to fix some ailing problems. then a fun taekwondo shift today even though we didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. it’s getting close to that time again for both the colour belt and blackbelt testing. this time i’m don’t feel as rushed and stressed preparing the students that should be taking it

day 2197 – matching limes

driving was made difficult today when i can’t even do the shoulder check motion. i saw two matching lime green vehicles on the road as i was heading to my chiropractor appointment. it’ll definitely be a rest day after suffering a whiplash. apparently i’m not suppose to workout while experiencing antibiotic side effects. it’ll be a write off and i’ll take the time to catch up and prepare to start my intermittent fasting again

day 2165 – pretherapy

a massage appointment that was rescheduled and rescheduled since early june. this was an appointment was originally set to take a look at my stiff neck and shoulders but turns out he has to tend to my hip was well. one thing i need to do a better job of for self care is stretching and rolling. i should consider switching my mattress and pillow because the pain and tension is ongoing

day 2143 – short day

it was an unexpectedly short saturday compared to any of my normal. i woke up for a chiropractor appointment, taught taekwondo classes, had dinner with parents and passed out before 9pm. i couldn’t even stay awake sitting, so i had to bail on hockey last minute which i felt really bad about. i guess the combination of jetlag, crazy late friday night, early saturday morning and a tiring solo teaching shift got the best of me
