say 2329 – potluck dish

my appetizer dish for the annual hospitality designs christmas potluck is smoked salmon on rice crackers. there’s a whole assortment of food including sushi, fried rice, noodles, fried chicken, samosas, pizza, salad, meatballs, chili and cakes to name a few. i tried to have a variety, but some things just weren’t for me. the food was okay, but the extended lunch break was good to calm down some of the work stress

day 1725 – korean family

miss having lunch as a foursome since we got separated into two buildings. lunch time meet up at daan for a small reunion with the korean family.  the two big brothers looking after two little sisters, chauffeuring us and taking care of our orders. this was a good little nook that opened less than a month ago. everything was tasty but koreans take their spicy to the next level; red sauces full of peppers even when mild

day 1682 Рanniversary toast

recognizing a special day for the tongs family, namely my parents. i’m so happy to spend the most precious time with my loved ones. a toast to the two special people in my life, i look forward to sharing more moments like this. what was suppose to be a three course meal became a two course meal. i was too full i elected to skip the main course and only had my appetizer and dessert. the lobster burger will have to wait until tomorrow

stepping foot in tong’s kitchen to prepare for tomorrow’s party. this is not a familiar territory for me since i only cook the primary things to fuel my body, but i might turn out to be an iron chef after this holiday season. the requirement for this recipe is we must create our dish from scratch; darn i can’t have my fruit platter. although i haven’t taste tested until party time, my deviled eggs look really yummy
