day 2363 – shoulder pains

still troubled by the shoulder pain so there’ll be no apex lifting this week. i can only be hopeful that nothing is torn and that i can slowly return to my normal functions. i still hit up nash to do what i could do. a girl, who’s not a trainer at the gym, drove me crazy when she kept shouting out the same instructions even though he obviously didn’t understand the first time. she seemed to think that speaking louder would get the message across

day 1950 – gold medal card

dsc_9137-1-16266175725448859584.jpgi was convinced to buy the gold medal card in a heartbeat after seeing the deal steve nash had offered. it’s the season my skiing set and boarding gear comes out of its long hibernation. i’d like to hit the mountains a few times this winter season but i’ll see how packed my schedule comes out to be. it’s one of my many recreations that shall always be a part of my winter tradition

day 1911 – dodgeball night

humpdays after work, as usual, consists of flipping and kicking, then rushing off to dodge some balls with our balls your face. the first weeks of the season has been focusing on the team chemistry since there’s new faces on the team. we’ll get through the kinks in the meat of the season and get it playoff ready. part of the fun of vdl isn’t so much about dodgeball balls, but seeing the familiar faces

day 1272 – monday eye bags

monday work went by so slow after only catching four hours and thirteen of snooze time. i didn’t even bother it contacts this morning because my eyes were so tired. when work finally came to an end, i happily dragged my butt to the gym for my monday routine working out before sour catch kids games. noticing i’m adapting better to the program with each successive workout

eating habit

i don’t know what exactly is going on, i just know that something is not right. i packed and planned what to eat daily, but i somehow accidentally on purpose refuse to eat. after a day’s work, a workout and a night of dodgeball, i find myself sitting at eight hundred. the outrageously low intake is slightly worrisome especially on a day like this when i have so much exertion. because i stack my schedule with back to back to backs, i don’t put eating as a priority. i get home not sure if i should eat or just sleep. i know for a fact my stomach is empty, but i tell myself that as long as i can fall sleep, it will solve the problem

day 924 – season opener

image

another season of obyf begins tonight. sticking together as a team for sixth straight season; we throw together and grow together. getting my share of dodgeball in the three hours span and ended up subbing for one and a half teams. the extra playing time really allows me to work on my catching game and i can really see it’s coming along. my elbow issue is back again which is a little concerning being week one with so much dodgeball left to play. the bright spot is it forces me to focus more on catching

day 636 – them weights

image

quads are nothing short of sore from yesterday’s physio appointment, but needed to get some work in. picking up weights again after a long stretch of holding off and focusing on more important things at hand. not impressed with how much strength and stability i have lost, but all i can do at the moment is put the slide to a halt. the regaining process won’t happen until after my lineup of commitments are complete because i have learned to focus on one thing at time. next up, us world open competition
