for as long as i can remember, my weekend can never been classified relaxing. spending my rare weekend off with mo at harrison was an enjoyable and relaxing one. we had our active moments hitting the gym, hitting tennis balls, hitting golf balls and hitting the water. we also had our relaxing moments just soaking in the hot springs and hot tub until our skin started peeling. and then i remind myself sometimes it’s okay to indulge and eat a little and drink a little because i keep myself in check mostly for times like this. i would definitely say it was a different kind of weekend than the ones i am accustomed to, but i enjoyed the company and quality time we shared. the weekend getaway with this goof was a memorable one

day 1127 – post rolling

wrapping up august with a satisfying workout and some intense rolling. the month has flown by so fast and today’s weather tells me summer season won’t last. reflecting on the month, i have made plenty of progress both physically and mentally, and in turn grown as a person. i have a lot to be thankful for, those who didn’t give up on me. i found that if i put my mind to something, i surprise myself and don’t always lose to my own expectations. the self realizations doesn’t end here, it’s only the beginning. stay tuned for the months to come on my journey to finding myself

day 1126 – gobble

woke up feeling a tad lightheaded, perhaps the lack of sleep is the cause. after finishing my complexes, i got myself a vanilla latte and fed myself chicken and potatoes for lunch. thinking that spiking my sugar level, eating and upping my blood pressure would help.  also dealt with some bank issue. they finally for it correct after the fourth try; if i have to go into the bank one more time for this purpose, i’d be really angry

day 1125 – readjust

checking in with physio to make the readjustments required so i can function optimally. sneaking a picture in between sets of side plank with disc. the back has progressed each and everyday since wreckage, but nowhere near where it needs to be. then again, very little can stop me from doing what i like doing. since i am off limits, i was able to sit down and get some work and planning done

day 1124 – breakfast buffet

had to indulge in hotel breakfast buffet before heading back to vancouver where reality lies. the selection of food choices was overwhelming, but the omelet and smoked salmon were my favourite. i allowed myself to eat a lot less restrictive because it’s vacation time. now that my trip is over, it’s back to my being meticulous and back to my routine eating. the weekend flew by so quickly simply because i enjoyed myself. looking forward to planning our next trip, but in the meantime, must work hard and make sure it’s a well derseved one

day 1123 – going natural

second day of adventures at harrison was a laid back one. i don’t think my body understands the concept of sleeping in, i naturally woke up at 8am without the help of an alarm. we hit up the driving range and explored bridal falls before taking full advantage of the resort facilities two days in a row, dipping in the hot springs and doing some laps in the pool. been a relaxing trip so far, hopefully it’ll be what i need to recharge me when I return

day 1122 – harrison getaway

getting out of the city and having a weekend getaway, just the two of us. it’s a good opportunity to give us a break from our everyday routine even though we still do much of the same things on our vacation like hit the gym, play tennis, swimming and be active. we do, however, have the luxury of relaxing in the resort and spa. spent the night in the water trying to heal our bodies in the therapeutic pool
